Prevention Coordinator:

Region 3 Behavioral Health Services in Partnership with the Buffalo County Tobacco Free Coalition (BCTFC) is hiring for a Prevention Coordinator

Position will close when filled. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.

What you’ll do!

Provide technical assistance, training, and support to communities and coalitions working to reduce alcohol, tobacco, and other drug misuse in their community. The Prevention Coordinator implements the goals of the BCTFC work plan including reducing tobacco use, vaping, and eliminating exposure to secondhand smoke.

What you’ll need!

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services related field.
  • Experience working with diverse groups.
  • Basic understanding of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention concepts and services.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to independently plan and organize time, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Facilitation skills to effectively teach Mental Health First Aid Training and Drug-Free Workplace Training.
  • Ability to effectively write grants.
  • Marketing/Media experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Satisfactory background check is required.

Emergency Community Support Coordinator:

Region 3 Behavioral Health Services is hiring for an Emergency Community Support Coordinator position

What you’ll do!

The Emergency Community Support (ERCS) Coordinator assists individuals by linking them with appropriate services and/or supports to meet individual needs. The voluntary short-term program aims to assist transition age youth (ages 14 to 26 years) and adults who have recently experienced a mental health and/or addiction related crisis to achieve goals of recovery, stabilization, increased independence, and community integration. This trauma informed case management service also assists individuals in the Buffalo County jail and Phelps County jail who are struggling with mental health and/or addictions. The ERCS Coordinator provides on-going support and advocacy for 90 to 120 days or as determined by individual need.

What you’ll need!

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or another human services related field preferred or demonstrated skills and competencies in treatment with individuals with a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis, demonstrated by at least one of the following: two years lived experience; two years direct care experience in a human service field; two years of training in a human service field.
  • Experience working in mental health and substance use disorder services including crisis intervention, psychological rehabilitation, treating major mental health illness, substance use disorder treatment, and working with individuals who experience a serious and persistent mental illness.
  • Familiarity of specialized services/resources, the ability to initiate and maintain effective working relationships with individuals receiving services, ability to network with other professionals serving individuals with complex needs, communication and organizational skills are some of the skills you need.
  • Satisfactory background check is required.

Fiscal Coordinator:

Region 3 Behavioral Health Services is hiring for an accounting position

Position will close November 17, 2025 or when filled.  We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.

What you’ll do!

The Fiscal Coordinator will work closely with the Region 3 Fiscal Team to process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as well as coordinate the payroll and benefits plans for approximately 34 employees.  This position is responsible for processing weekly payroll, filing payroll taxes and serving as the plan administrator for health insurance and other business insurance plans. 

What you’ll need!

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business administration, accounting, business management, or other related field.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks preferred) and Microsoft
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, or payroll processing
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, communication skills, and prioritizing multiple tasks are some of the skills you need.
  • Satisfactory background check is required.
