Professional Partner Program
Co-op for SUCCESS
WHAT IS CO-OP FOR SUCCESS?
Grand Island Public Schools, Region 3 Behavioral Health Services Professional Partner Program, and Nebraska Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, Inc. have partnered to create Co-op for SUCCESS. This is a program designed to help meet the needs of “at-risk” students in the Grand Island Area.
Co-op for SUCCESS is a program combining Wraparound Planning and coordination of existing services /resources. The purpose is to assist in the transition of at-risk students with mental health/behavioral issues into competitive employment. The planning for the student combines each of the three partner’s methods to effectively focus on the unique needs of the student and family.
The Co-op for SUCCESS uses the “wraparound” process to assist families in building a team dedicated to provide flexible, nontraditional and unconditional care.
This team includes parent/student and participating partners (school representative, Professional Partner, Vocational Rehabilitation representative and Transition Age Supported Employment (TASE) representative) and other individuals who know the student and family best.
The team will develop an individualized support plan that contains a balance of formal and informal resources and supports.
Acting as partners the family and their team will implement the support plan designed to help the family meet their goals and help the student gain employment opportunities.
